Hector Michaud (2025 - Current)

My name is Hector Michaud, and I am a second-year medical student at Université Laval in Québec. I joined CanSaRCC in September 2025 and work under the supervision of Dr. Christopher Lemieux, hematologist-oncologist at the CHU de Québec. My background includes a pharmacology degree from Université de Sherbrooke, followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Université Laval. Finally, I am currently working as a community pharmacist while completing my medical degree. I have always viewed rare diseases as a significant challenge, both in terms of their discovery, diagnosis, and clinical management. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue my training with the CanSaRCC team, and I really wish to contribute to advancing scientific knowledge in one of the great mysteries of modern medicine that are sarcomas. With my background in pharmacology and pharmacy, I hope to bring a unique touch and perspective to this initiative.
