Medical Student
University of Ottawa and Ottawa Hospital Research Institute
Ottawa
Tristan is a first-year medical student at the University of Ottawa. He has an academic interest in oncology which developed during his undergraduate degree in microbiology and immunology at Western University, where he learned about cancer biology and immunological therapies for cancer treatment. Now in medical school, Tristan is interested in pursuing surgical oncology and became involved with CanSaRCC in the summer of 2022 to gain additional learning opportunities and connect with sarcoma researchers across Canada. Tristan believes that the first step to understanding disease is to capture comprehensive data and hopes to contribute to the CanSaRCC's mission throughout his medical education while also utilizing the database for clinical studies with his PI at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
